SR Mgr, GTM- Gaming Components – 132342 The Role:

As the SR Mgr, GTM – Gaming Components, you will work across our portfolio of gaming products and software. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in our client and graphics business units, ISV alliance team, sales, and marketing. In this role, you will the opportunity to drive marketing strategies and tactics that will best position AMD gaming component products and represent AMD in front of key partners and customers.

 The Person:

You will lead a distributed team of marketing professionals to drive success in our global marketing campaigns, programs, game partnerships and activities. We are looking for a person to play a key role in strategy development, to be a key partner with Worldwide Marketing to develop a global gaming marketing strategy that delivers to the business and marketing targets. This role will develop the go-to market strategy, marketing plans and gaming proposals, as well as manage Partner Marketing (SI, AIB, ODM, ISV) and sustained engagement across Ryzen and Radeon gaming products. The ideal candidate will be creative and analytical, have a strong attention to detail, and bring a passion to market premium gaming brands.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop marketing strategy, segmentation and targeting of marketing campaigns and programs for AMD gaming products working closely with business units and sales
  • Responsible for leading go-to-market plans, ensuring the successful, timely launch of new products and technologies – this role will function as the critical interface of GTM strategy, execution, handling updates, issue resolution, and general launch metrics across diverse cross-functional teams
  • Lead a team of Go to Market Managers based in US and Taiwan who will input into the go-to-market plans, as well as interface directly with the regional teams
  • Key gaming liaison to the ISV Alliance team and lead for game partnerships, developing go-to-market plans (annual and quarterly)
  • Develop demand gen gaming programs aligned to business and marketing goals and targets
  • Lead all aspects of creative development and implementation of gaming marketing campaigns and demand gen programs for the organization ensuring they are effective and crafted to support AMD’s business goals
  • Lead strategy and work with the Regional teams to build outstanding go-to-market launch and lifecycle plans that support the defined goals with measurable outcomes
  • Ensure all marketing materials developed in channel have consistent and clear message of product position and global consistency in execution of marketing initiatives – across all consumer touch points
  • Ongoing collaboration with business unit, sales, ISV alliance and cross functional teams to identify current business challenges/opportunities and optimize go to market plans as needed
  • Work with subject matter experts to develop recommendations for greater efficiency or effectiveness across all the regions to drive unit sales through various marketing channels (social, digital, merchandising, training, events, and other key marketing areas)
  • Measure and assess the efficiency of implemented programs and campaigns to improve future marketing activities
  • Budget ownership and management across multiple deliverables and lines of business to implement strategies

 Preferred Experience:

  • Strong experience in marketing, preferably with experience working in a global, matrixed organization
  • Technical background and in-depth understanding and knowledge of the PC and gaming market is a requirement
  • Product Marketing experience is a plus
  • Detailed understanding of go-to market, current marketing strategies, digital platforms, and trends
  • Agency management and creative production experience
  • Experience using market research and market data to develop marketing strategies and programs
  • Skilled in all MS Office Applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Proactive, accountable, organized and possesses exceptional problem-solving skills – able to work in fast-paced environment, on multiple ongoing projects and prioritize effectively
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and well-structured presentations and deliver it verbally to internal and external partners of all levels
  • Up to 25% international travel

 Academic Credentials:

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field. MBA is a plus.
