Packaging SIGNAL INTEGRITY

The Packaging Signal Integrity engineering team ensures that the performance requirements of the silicon and the cost requirements of the product are met through the integration of silicon, package and platform electrical design. Packaging Signal Integrity also provides design support to engineering design teams for both current and forward-looking product development and feasibility studies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a member of the Packaging Signal Integrity team, you will be responsible for enabling the electrical design, modeling, simulation and characterization of high-speed signal propagation and power delivery networks in AMD products through the development and support of internal tools and workflows.  You will be required to communicate effectively and work in close collaboration with others in AMD as well as with AMD’s customers to ensure optimal engineering design decisions and efficient problem solving.

SKILLS and Experience requirements

• Experience in Analog Mixed Signal design of high-speed SERDES and supply regulation
• Working knowledge of circuit EDA tools such as Virtuoso, Spectre, RaptorH, Hspice
• Experience in supporting Signal and Power Integrity support functions for SERDES IP
• Experience in GDS/Oasis processing for StarRC or equivalent parasitic extraction flows
• Circuit CAD and automation experience will be an asset
• Programming experience in Python or Matlab will be an asset   
• Ability to effectively communicate ideas and results
• Ability to collaborate and work harmoniously with others
• Ability to work independently
• > 5 years relevant experience preferred
