BSS Architect / Solution Architect

If so, we want to hear from you! We are looking for a BSS Architect that can help drive business and solution thinking through the BSS domain for one of our large Communications client.

• Lead business and technology solution architecture and design for Telecom Business Support System (BSS) i.e. CRM, Billing, Order Management and Enterprise Product Catalogue domains
• Analyze, interpret and translate clients’ business needs into rigorous Business and System Requirements for strategic business project. Manage and participate in the capture and definition of all stakeholder requirements and agreement on their prioritization
• Facilitate workshops with stakeholders, provide leadership to determine and define the appropriate Solution Architecture and Design
• Lead, Consult and communicate with required team members and stakeholders involved in the delivery and support of program to ensure alignment
• Lead, Consult and communicate with Business units in the evolution of business/knowledge processes and supporting infrastructures
• Actively participate in the requirements analysis, process definition, solution architect & design and development, reviews (internal & external) and presentation
• Identify any potential process or solution options for cost savings and/or speed to market
• Identify business opportunities and solution gaps, and participate in the opportunity sales cycle
• Develop technical solution and proposals; pitch to clients
• Act as liaison and representative of IT as Business Analyst / Domain Specialist and liaise with business community for Analysis, Design and Build phases, to ensure that the solution meets the defined needs of the business and IT objectives

• Must be a SME within Telecom BSS domain
• Minimum of 8+ years of hands on experience on IT solution of telecom wireline, wireless, internet, TV and OTT services, with minimum of 3+ years of experience in e2e BSS solution consulting, architecture and design
• Proven implementation experience with at least two large Telecom BSS rollouts
• In depth understanding of fixed, mobile and convergence domains and related markets
• Understanding of various CRM, Billing, Order Management and Product Catalogue COTS products
• Exposure and knowledge on TOGAF and TMForum Frameworks including ODA, Open APIs, eTOM, TAM and SID models specifically around Customer and Product domain
• Architect infrastructure of large systems – providing guiding principles to deployment teams in right sizing of servers for hardware, databases and applications – providing inputs to internal teams and COTS vendors in a system-integration environment. This includes cloud and bare-metal hosting.
• Ability to map business processes to solution requirements
• Hands on experience of performing a solution design or enterprise architect’s role in a Communications organization
• Past software development experience with enterprise grade software is mandatory
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment
• Knowledge of S/W development processes and methodologies along with project management exposure is desirable and more specifically agile ways of working
• Product evaluation using standard based framework or through custom developed framework.
• Strong understanding of different Java standards and enterprise framework.
• Strong experience in pre-sales and solution designs.
• Deep understanding of micro-services architecture and DevOps principles is required
• Strong analytical / problem solving ability
• Excellent communication, reporting and interpersonal skills
