Senior Systems Engineer/Architect

G.1440, LLC

This is a Full-time position in Markham, ON posted March 30, 2020.

Deployment Design and deploy new systems and enhancements to existing systems, software, and operating systems Assist in cost-benefit analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions Conduct research on software and systems products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts Oversee design and implementation of new systems Strategy Planning Work with other team members, decision makers, and stakeholders to define business requirements and systems goals, design, and to identify and resolve business systems issues Evaluate, recommend and implement new products to extend the reliability, responsiveness, and effective use of the data network and server environment Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network and systems administration, usage, and disaster recovery Operations Build, maintain and follow Standard Operation Procedures Configure systems and networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes Perform high-level root cause analysis for service interruption recovery and creating preventive measures Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems Record and submit daily, accurate time-cards in support of project invoicingbilling Other duties and projects as required by the company REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Expert knowledge of all Server and Workstation-class Windows platforms Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, governance and IT management best practices Excellent software and network troubleshooting experience Experience implementing and supporting all of the following technologies Microsoft Office365 environment including but not limited to Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams, ADFS SSO SAML, Azure AD Experience with migrating email to o365 TCPIP, SMTP, HTTP, HTTPS (IIS, Apache), SSL Certificates VMware andor Hyper-V Management and Implementation o 802.11AX Working knowledge of Cloud Virtualization Azure, AWS andor Google cloud experience ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Excellent English communication skills are essential.

Must be able to give and receive correct information, explain difficult information in layman s terms and maintain a customer service attitude to all levels of users.
