Rebate and Pricing Analyst – Canada

JJMT focuses on providing minimally invasive treatment options spanning various medical procedures and disease states. Among the products represented by its various business units are surgical devices, comprehensive orthopaedics portfolios, including enabling technologies in Robotics & Digital Surgery (RAD), wound closure products, cardiovascular and neurovascular diagnostics, as well as solutions for women’s health including breast care. Most Canadian hospitals and the healthcare continuum use JJMT innovations to deliver unmatched patient outcomes every day.

As the Rebate and Pricing Analyst, you will execute on the Rebate process in support of commercial JJMT agreements. Lead rebate reviews, develop rebate reports, overall rebate metrics and provide insights to management. In addition, you will calculate rebates for payment and provide visibility to the field regarding payment status. On a monthly basis, execute on the compliance review processes in order to meet the needs of the Revenue cycle, ensure all support and back up documentation are as per SOP and filed appropriately. You will monitor existing compliance process, making recommendations to management and users on process milestone and output effectiveness, reporting on process metrics. Support data integrity, investigate pricing overlaps & interface issues and provide training to data creators and inputters as required. Champion insights and analytics for Contracts and Pricing work with existing reports and proactively recommend/create new reports to support commercial stakeholders. Lead PMPRB bi annual sales reporting and Annual List Price Change for JJMT. Innovate and lead contracts related process improvements that will create value for the organization as required. Qualified candidates should be able to work from our Markham site.

Major Responsibilities:

· Rebate and Pricing Analyst is responsible for establishing the schedule of rebate reviews, managing the data and files associated with the rebates

· Development of Contract Rebate Review Plan and coordinate scheduled rebate analyses. Provide to Field for action.

· Create contract rebate files and analyze customer’s performance and provide price adjustment recommendations to Field.

· Support the compliance price program.

· Work closely with Strategic Pricing Manager, Contract Analysts, Finance to follow the compliance process

· Manage the distribution of monthly/quarterly Contracts and Pricing reports with commentary

· Recommend and create new Contracts and Pricing reports to support commercial stakeholders

Qualifications

Job Knowledge Requirements:

· A minimum of a BS/BA is required. A degree in Business or Finance is preferred.

· A minimum of 1 year of experience in Finance or Contracting & Pricing or related business experience within J&J or medical devices.

  • Strong organizational skills, time management skills and ability to self-manage in a complex / time sensitive environment

· Ability to prioritize and multi task with accuracy and attention to detail

    • Ability to work well in a cross-functional environment and build support across a complex set of stakeholders
      • Ability to form strong, trust-based relationships with Account Management, Commercial leaders, Finance, Strategic Pricing Manager and Contract Management Organization
      • Drive to understand the JJMT products and offerings, strategies and business objectives as they relate to Rebate/Value Add analysis and compliance
    • Strong level of ownership and drive for meeting / exceeding expectations
    • Passion for adherence to protocols and business rules and the practical application thereof within our contracting environment.
    • Proven ability to analyze data and translate into actionable items at the strategic and tactical levels
    • Comfort working remotely with multiple lines of business
    • Experience with the JJMT Contracting systems, revenue cycles compliance and support tools helpful
    • Analytical capabilities using Excel primarily
    • Excellent command of English language, written and spoken
    • Post secondary education, university degree preferred or equivalent experience
    • Strong technical skills, high proficiency with MS Excel. Strong use of MS Word, MS Outlook, SAP (ERP), business intelligence systems (Tableau) and other desktop applications.
    • Solid working knowledge of SAP/BtB. Understanding of JJMT customer structures within SAP an asset
    • Bilingualism in French an asset
  • Hybrid remote & office deskwork, requiring sitting, using computer
