Summary:

The Lead Automation Data Scientist is responsible for leading the deployment of data science and intelligent automation solutions across Health Care Compliance (HCC) functional areas.

This global role will primarily focus on providing intelligent automation expertise in developing, implementing and supporting the Intelligent Automation (IA) and data science solutions space using Machine Learning, Selenium, Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Scheduled Data Flows, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Natural Language Processing (NLP) and other tools and technologies. In addition, this role will also be responsible for bringing new ideas, delivering innovative solutions, and working closely with internal technology partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with subject matter experts across HCC to identify opportunities to implement intelligent automation solutions
• Collaborate with business partners to understand and document processes and write technical and functional requirements for automation
• In collaboration with internal support teams, develop, test and implement data science and automation solutions
• Query and mine complex data sets to identify actionable insights that will enable process transformation and automation.
• Identify key IA capabilities required to the HCC business function and continue to enhance the state-of-the-art HCCIA framework.
• Manage existing live automations and act as a subject matter expert to troubleshoot complex automation issues and build prevention plans.
• Monitor industry trends and work closely with technology partners to identify new technologies and approaches to addressing evolving needs across HCC.

Qualifications Education:

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required in Computer science or related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Required:

• Minimum 4 years of Data Science OR Automation experience
• Strong knowledge of Data Science concepts and best practices
• Proven experience with automation utilizing one or more of the following is required: Python / R (Preferred), Blue Prism, UiPath, Winshuttle, Robotic Framework, MS Power Automate & PowerApps, Alteryx.
• Proven experience with process improvement
• Strong knowledge of IA frameworks, concepts, and best practices
• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely, and the ability to respectfully question and/or challenge others to think through problems, improvement opportunities, solutions, and plans
• Must be highly organized with the ability to handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously with efficient prioritization of projects and tasks.
• Strong time management skills

Preferred:

• Experienced in successful implementation of Conversational AI, Machine Learning algorithms, NLx, document digitization, smart workflow, Selenium Bots, or other automation centric technologies
• Experience with the following technologies considered an asset: SQL and MSSQL databases, Tableau, MS Power BI, Jira, and MBOX.
• Experience with Agile methodology and design thinking
• Experience with project management methodology and implementation processes

Salary

For US based candidates, the base pay range for this position is $101,500 USD to $163,300 USD. Some U.S. states have recently instituted certain pay transparency disclosure requirements. This means that for jobs posted by J&J corporate legal entities in Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, and New York (collectively the “Enumerated States”). If the job can be performed in one of these identified states or the job can be performed remotely, the posting must include the anticipated pay range for the position in question, and in certain circumstances, benefits information.

Bonus

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
