Platform Systems Design Verification Engineer – 159965




Responsible for the development of methodologies, execution of system integration plans, and debug of failures. Requires broad understanding of multiple system areas and requires interfaces with Architecture, Design, and Pre-silicon integration teams to improve post-silicon test content and provide feedback for future debug and test features. Uses and applies emulation and platform level tools and techniques to ensure zero quality escapes.

  • Define and measure test plan quality, both pre-silicon working with design/platform teams and measuring quality post-silicon to improve coverage.
  • Perform as system integration expert starting pre-silicon through post-silicon milestones.
  • Responsible for test development, planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting test results.
  • Leading collaborative test approach with multiple teams, and tracking test execution to make sure all features are validated and optimized on time
  • Collaboration with cross-functional HW and SW team to solve complex issues and improve efficiency.
  • Work with IP designers to build knowledge of design internals within the system integration team.
  • Engaging on pre-silicon verification efforts, including but not limited to emulation, design verification, and other software/hardware modeling frameworks
  • Mentoring and training for junior system integration engineers.



  • Prior, preferably recent, years of related experience in platform design, verification, or post-silicon IP integration.
  • Extensive experience with ASIC debug techniques and methodologies
  • Extensive experience with common lab equipment, including protocol/logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Experience working in cross-functional team environment.
  • Extensive experience with board/platform-level debug, including clock/power delivery, sequencing, analysis, and optimization Translate GPU. CPU, chipset, graphics card, motherboard design specs to a robust system integration test plan.
  • Ability to program in C, C++, and scripting languages (Python, Perl, etc.).
  • AMD/Intel CPU, GPU, chipset, and PC graphics architecture extensive knowledge.
  • Writing clear technical documentation.
  • Effective communication skills working across large multi-functional HW, SW, architecture teams.
  • Leadership and mentoring skills a definite asset.
  • Must be a self starter and be able to independently drive tasks to completion.
  • Ability to be flexible in terms of responsibilities.



  • BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science/Engineering, or an equivalent
