Program Manager 

Role

Experienced program manager with strong analytical, problem-solving and risk management skills. Ability to work efficiently and manage effective relationships in a cross-functional organization to meet commitments for successful customer program launches in Chrome OS. Must be self-directed and work in complex and dynamic ecosystems.

 

Responsibilities

  • As a member of the RTG Custom SW Engineering team, work with NOI program core team, engineering leads and program/project managers to ensure the successful launch customer programs in NOI Chrome OS
  • Monitor and report status of NOI Chrome OS customer programs in regular program review meetings
  • Utilize program management principles effectively to meet expectations of NOI Chrome OS customer product launches
  • Collaborate with cross-functional organizations to meet customer commitments, deliverables and milestones.
  • Work effectively with cross-functional organizations to manage risks and POR changes, solve problems, assess and provide mitigation plans in dynamic environments affecting NOI customer product launches
  • Assemble workgroups, drive agendas efficiently and effectively follow up on action items
  • Coordinate tasks and deliverables between internal teams in North America, China, Taiwan, India and other AMD locations as needed.
  • Create documentation (guidance, advisories, interlocks, training) and coordinate co-engineering/co-validation activities for customers and customer-facing teams as needed.
  • Perform post-mortems/lessons learned exercises to improve or create processes, methodologies and innovations within the SW/Custom SW Engineering organizations.

 

Requirements

  • 3 years of Program Management experience, preferably in technology (SW/HW)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical related field (Electrical, Computer Science) or Management
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks and projects to deliver on schedule.
  • Detailed oriented, self-driven with a strong sense of pride and ownership
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal, presentation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships and work effectively as a self-starter and as part of a team.
  • Proactively involve team members in planning, decision-making and execution efforts.
  • Collaborate in problem solving and mitigating risks with Engineering, Program/Project Management, Business Units and Product Management – both internal and external.
  • Strong knowledge of productivity and project tools including Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office Suite.
  • PMP certification is an asset
