In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to the successful candidate by New Consumer Health at an appropriate time and would be subject to any necessary consultation processes. Position Description: The Canada Communications Leader will be part of a team driving high-impact communications to energize, engage, and align employees around the world, support activities that protect and enhance brand and business reputation, and drive awareness of our brands and mission among consumers. We are looking for a polished business driver who demonstrates strong strategic thinking, executive presence, rapid prioritization skills, agility, and can lead a diverse team speaking multiple languages. It is essential that this role be filled by a person who can shift gears quickly and acclimate instantly to our constantly changing environment. Other Responsibilities: Integrating knowledge from deep internal and external networks, multi-stakeholder insights, and a broad understanding of business, competitive, and industry priorities in the development and implementation of strategic communication plans that drive key business and reputation outcomes, and shape the environment for the company’s products and solutions Leading communication, Public Relations, and public affairs strategy for key business/brands driving growth in Canada Effectively managing public relations and other agencies, to ensure Canada’s public relations plans leverage the competitive advantage of Consumer Health strategic priorities Serving as a strategic counselor to the Canadian Leadership Team, providing key insights and perspectives to influence business decisions, driving compliant business growth, and enhance trust in our company Ensuring Canadian influencer strategies are aligned across the region and globally to ensure maximum impact and continuing partnering with the commercial teams to build influencer management capabilities Driving alignment and engagement across the employee population throughout Canada Serving as a change counselor and change agent Building trust in our organization and enhances the reputation of Consumer Health Company with external stakeholders Overseeing the development and implementation of BU internal communication plan and messages that inspire, engage, inform, and align employees Ensuring alignment with NA Consumer Health strategy and plan Improving and enhancing the communication capabilities of senior executives and working to develop and strengthen the communication team in Canada Building talent and a high-performing organization with innovative culture, metrics-driven, best practices approach Playing a key role in shaping external thought leadership in Canada, requiring seamless collaboration with External Affairs function within Global Corporate Affairs and partnering with leading industry trade associations Coordinating issues management on complex topics including product and ingredient safety, pricing, compliance, etc. in close partnership with North America Communications Leader and Global Issues Management Leader Qualifications Position Requirements: Minimum 12 years of senior-level experience in communication Experience working in a matrixed environment with strong teamwork and collaboration skills Demonstrated ability to produce quality results in a high pressure, high visibility role Ability to manage complexity, ambiguity, and multiple priorities Ability to assimilate and operationalize strategic agenda into execution Operates with a global and enterprise mindset even in a regional leadership role Demonstrated ability to attract, hire, and develop top talent Exceptional writing, editing, and oral presentation skills for a broad range of target audiences Preferred Competencies: Business Acumen: Understanding of how market, economic, financial, legal, and compliance factors (i.e., business factors) interact and impact business objectives and value creation Business Mindset: Using business and market insights to support, advise on, and identify solutions Trusted Business Partner: Building and maintaining trusted partnerships with internal stakeholders across functions and leverages influential communication to frame analytical insights and develop fact-based business strategies focused on value creation Digital Champion/Technology Advocate: Embracing and practicing a digital mindset through encouraging and role modeling the use of technology Agility and Innovation: Leveraging an agile and creative mindset to adapt to change and drive innovative value creation, continuous process improvement, and proactive learning through new technology, processes, and people Strategic Talent Mindset: Supporting a strategic and holistic talent agenda by proactively taking ownership and accountability for attracting, developing and retaining talent that drives value creation, including helping to foster a culture where every person feels included At Johnson & Johnson, we’re on a mission to change the trajectory of health for humanity.
