Job purpose:
The candidate will take part in owning the delivery the Software Innovation for the next Generation AMD Datacenter Graphics products on the Cloud & Virtualization Software team. Take lead as ScrumMaster to help guide the software development team as we grow our business in Cloud Gaming, Machine Learning and other creative uses of GPUs in a non-traditional environment. You will support complex software development, plan its deliverables and track its execution all the way until launch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan internal software roadmap of new products and features by clarifying and analyzing requirements with Software Architects, Technical Leads and Software Engineers
- Evangelize Agile methodology as a ScrumMaster on the team
- Help define internal team policies and processes regarding code reviews, definition of complete, and documentation policies
- Support software Technical Leads and key engineers to drive technical innovations in pre-silicon verification using a variety of validation tools
- Track the feature enablement progress by comparing the actual progress against the plan
- Report progress weekly to software management and drive corrective actions when required
What you gain:

- Visibility into sound Program Management methodologies, software engineering practices and processes, organizational and teamwork/behavior, effective collaboration and communication
- Understanding the New Product Introduction (NPI) life cycle from concept to production
- International experience working with global AMDers across the globe
- Experience in cross-functional Core Team settings, supporting Core Team PM and work with hardware teams, diagnostics and manufacturing to complexity of AMD NPI Products!
Skills and Experience Requirements
Technical:
- Engineering or computer science background preferred
- Combination of strong technical background with interest in Program/Project Management
- Strong understanding of computer architecture with exposure to device drivers, firmware and/or graphics technology
- Experience with Microsoft Project or other planning tool an asset
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence and Excel an asset
- Experience with Agile methodology
Process-Oriented:
- Mindset for project management and software development lifecycles and processes
- Good understanding of requirements management, documentation management, and defect management
- Ability to grasp concepts during discussions and turn meeting minutes into action items
- Able to communicate concepts and processes with stakeholders
General:
- Analytical, self-motivated, organized, detailed-oriented and results-oriented
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with multiple people and teams, ability to communicate progress to team members on a regular basis
- Experience working in a high-pressure environment and competing priorities and tight turnaround times
- Understanding of the semi-conductor market and experience in its respective technical customer support an asset
