Financial Planning & Analysis Manager-WFS

This is a Contract position in Markham, ON posted May 12, 2022.

Job Description

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the development and completion of annual plans, capital planning, branch budgets, quarterly financial forecasts and weekly sales forecast
  • Complete monthly consolidated financial statements with analysis to plan, forecast, prior year and lead the presentations to senior management
  • Prepare monthly branch and corporate financial statements to plan and support business unit’s review and tracking to plan
  • Lead the annual sales planning process and development of semi-annual seller targets with monthly calculation of sales incentives. Support the sales management team throughout the year on changes to the sales plans and analyze performance to plans
  • Completion of annual team member incentives, President’s Club and compensation review calculations and quarterly tracking
  • Manage the capital appropriation requests, approvals, internal control policy, comparison to plan and development of business cases and ROIC as required
  • Provide financial leadership to various corporate support functions and Executive Management in the evaluation of customer, product, or service-related issues and opportunities including ad hoc financial analyses and recommendations to management on the merits of these opportunities
  • Complete quarterly E&O inventory calculations and analysis and support Product Management in the development of pricing strategies through analytics
  • Assist with year end audit kit requirements
  • Identify opportunities for processes improvements

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completion of a university degree, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or Commerce, a professional accounting designation would be considered an asset
  • 5 years experience in a Financial Planning and Analysis role, including a minimum of 2 years of management level experience which includes the leading of projects and processes
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Skills including expert Excel skills
  • Proven project management skills developed through prior experience leading projects
  • Strong well-rounded business acumen; ability to understand the broader context of assignments and present a balanced approach when advising the business
  • Prior experience and ability to effectively present complex information in a simplistic manner via written and verbal presentation, to all levels of management, including the Executive
  • Strong customer service focus; ability to effectively consult to functional and business units and enhance their level of knowledge.
  • Proven organizational and time management skills; works well in a team environment
